My pump is not priming even after cleaning impeller. Will purchasing this kit aid in fixing that problem?

The seal kit can help with loss of prime. I can't guarantee that it will solve your problem. The loss of prime could be from an air leak at the valves or plumbing in front of the pump.

My pool is getting diatomaceous earth fed back into the pool on the water return. I have checked the filter elements and they seem OK. i have a new manifold as the old repaired one finally gave way. Is it possible the slide valve is faulty and allowing DE to get into the return water?

Yes it is possible that the slide valve o rings are bad and causing this. Also be sure that all o rings withing the filter itself are in good condition and lubed.

My push pull valve for a Hayward is leaking water from the top of the valve. In other words water is coming up where the push valve is located. Do I need to replace the entire push pull valve or just buy the tune up kit?

Hello, Ravie. I would suggest to disassemble the Hayward Slide Valve 2" SP410X and inspect all the pieces. Depending on what is damaged you may purchase just the one part, the GOKIT42, or the entire valve (If the damaged part is not available). In the event one O-Ring is damaged, I would recommend purchasing the kit and replacing all items the first time.

My valve does not appear to close after backwash..In lock position water is still seeping out of the backwash.quick clean hose. It is ok to just unlock top ring and open this up to see what is wrong?

Hi Janet, Based on what you're describing, replacing the o-rings within the valve will resolve your problem. This kit will include all that you will need if you have the Hayward SP410X Slide Valve.
