Do you have to use a cable when you use clips?

HI Debbie. The cable is the more secure way to secure the cover but the clips are recommended to make a tighter fit to keep all points of the cover secure from the winter wind.

Hi, Suzanne. Count the number of uprights your pool has, then multiply that by 2 or 3 to determine the number of clips required for your pool.

We have an above ground pool that is connected to a deck on one end so it's difficult to get a cover to stay on. We've roped and staked it, etc., but these clips worked wonderfully.

My old ones were a 2 piece set and the tops would pop off or become loose. These are 1 piece and stay on better.

Pros: easy to put on
Cons: not all fit real good
some clips went on real well but others didn't latch on to great, it may be the weigh my pool wall is, but not sure. It definitely will help keep the cover down

The clips were very helpful in putting the cover on the pool, however after you use the cable they are no longer needed.
