I have just gotten these. When I place them on the lip of pool rail they are loose what am I doing wrong? Wind will take them off.

The "male" part should mount directly to your metal pool rail. Then put the cover on and snap the "female" part on top of it as it is in the picture on the product webpage. It looks like you have all of the parts on the outside of the cover but the male part should be under the cover.

If you are out in the country then don't bother trying these. The wind in my area can get gusty and it ripped them off as well as ruined my pool cover. I do not have any trees near mine so will not put a cover on this winter.

These are the best clips I have found. Should fit just about any thickness of pool cap/ They hold cover very tight.
