The kit does not contain slow released chemicals so how long does it protect the water?

Hi John, The 30,000 Gal. Winterizing Kit w/ Chlor-Free Shock - NY938 will protect the water for the entire winter.  Once the water temps start to warm up, you should test and adjust the balance again.

I’m going to keep my salt water pool open this winter. I have a variable speed pump that will be running 24/7. What do you suggest on chemicals.

Hi, Hammill. Since you're keeping the pool open, you will maintain that pool as normal.

We have. 30000 gal finite pool. Water looks perfect but when tested has a high cyanuruc (117) and we were told to use non stabilized chlorine. When we close pool should we use the no chlorine winterizing kut?

Hello, Yes I would definitely use the non-chlorinated option with the winterizing kit.

can I use the Winterizing Kit, asw/ Chlor-Free Shock as starting kit for the start of the season?????/

Hi. You can use this kit depending on the condition of the pool when opening it. If there are a high enough chlorine level and little to no algae in the pool, this winterizing kit can be used.

Winterizing kit for 30000 gallon above ground pool using salt water system.. Which kit is recommended?

A  Answered on 9/29/2016 by InyoPools Product Specialist Alan M.

Hello- If you are looking for a chlorine shock Winterizing Kit (recommended), I would suggest the 30,000 Gal. Winterizing Kit with Burst - NY916. If you prefer a Non-Chlorine Shock, then I would recommend the 30,000 Gal. Winterizing Kit w/ Chlor-Free Shock.

When I winterize with these chemicals, should I run them through my heater or should that be disconnected (bypassed).

A  Answered on 9/13/2016 by InyoPools Product Specialist Scott W.

I would recommend running it through the heater. That winterizing kit comes with a rust and scale preventer that will be good for your heater and prolong the life so it's not sitting, rusting over the winter months.
