I have a 15X30 above ground pool. I live in the country and am having a hard time keeping debris under control. When my original filter system died, I bought a smaller (50 pounds of sand) filter with 1/2 horse motor on advice of pool store I use. My old system was a 1 horse with 200 lbs.of sand. The new filter has never kept the pool clean--constant dirt and debris no matter how much I work at cleaning it. Got any suggestions for a new and better system?

I have a 1hp pump. When plug the pump it makes a noice but it does not go on.
Can you help?

Luis, It sounds like the motor shaft is seized. You will need to either replace the motor or the entire pump.

I need an adapter/connector for use with 1.5" flexible hose. Could you direct me where to find one?

Hi, Dave. The Hose Adapter - 417-6060 is the part you'll need.

I have an 18' x 33' rectangular pool with 4.5 inches of water all around. I'm stuck between the Hayward Xstream 100 or 150. Which do you recommend? Thanks for your help.

Hi Joe, I would suggest the larger 150 as it can filter more debris meaning more time between cartridge cleanings and it will also put less stress on your pump resulting in longer pump life.

I have the hayward cc1000 system with a 1.5hp pump. I have the cartridge cracks constantly. It calls for a 1hp pump. The 1.5 came with the pool when I purchased it . The store has since closed. Do you think this half horsepower would cause this?
Reply
Joe, It is possible that the extra HP can damage the cartridge. It sounds like you are getting too much pressure.

Do you sell a replacement hose that goes from the outlet port of the filter to the pool? I cannot find it under "replacement parts" or anywhere else in the world! The original is a blue, flexible hose but made of a stronger plastic than the beige house that goes into the pump from the pool. 2 of these blue hoses came with the original pump & filter. Thank you!

Hi Nadja, We do carry Universal Above Ground Pool Replacement Hoses most likely your hose is 1-1/2" in diameter but you would want to double check. This would be the hose that goes from the pool to the pump as well as the hose that goes from the filter back to the pool.

The manual says that a diverter valve can be installed for vacuuming to waste during heavy spring clean up or pulling rain water out of the pool. Where would it be installed? Do you sell this valve?
Reply
Yes we do carry this diverter valve which you may view or purchase through this link http://www.inyopools.com/Products/07501352023400.htm This valve has 3 ports on it, the valve would screw into the disharge side of your pump and you can have the handle turned so the return water goes through your filter or you can turn the valve in the opposite direction so the dirty water goes to waste and bypasses your filter, this is very helpful when vacuuming or for heavy spring clean up.
