How do the gaskets fit on union?

Hello, There is a groove on the unions where the o-rings would be placed. I would recommend using a non petroleum based lubricant like Magic Lube to lubricate the o-rings.

Are 2" inside diameter unions availble for the Max Flow XL? I have 2" plumbing everywhere and would rather not go down to 1.5" at the pump.

Hi, Thad. These union can be used with 1.5" or 2" pvc pipes.

I have Max-Flow VS pump. I noticed in the owners manual it is suggested to remove the pump during the winter months.
So my question is, once the pump is removed is there a female plug that I can replace were the pump itself would attach? Long story short, I wan to plug all lines. I have a solution for the Salt generator and the pool cleaner return line, just not the filter pump or the cleaner pump. I have no problems "handcrafting" a solution. Thank you in advance.

Hi, F Kaveps. Once the pump is removed, you can use Winter Plugs to prevent water from getting in.
