I have an inground pool, approx 20k gallons, and the transformer for the light was damaged and removed during a remodel of the house. I have 240 sub panel to go to, 1.5 HP Pureline variable speed pump, intermatic timer to use with the lights eventually. The other side of the timer I would like to run the new light system to. If I buy the 300 w transformer, can I use it to run the pool light AND some outdoor spotlights/garden lights? Do I need the 300 to run just the pool light?

Hi, Scott. If your pool light is rated at 300 watts, you will need to use this 600 watt transformer to operate the landscape lighting.
