I own an AquaLink RS6 with a single speed 2hp pump motor. Which pump relay do I need?
I have an Old Jandy Aqualink RS control panel. I bought a 2 speed pump for my old whisperflow ( 1.5 hp) :
(Tune Up Kit Pentair/Purex Whisperflo GOKIT32 with A.O. Smith 1.5 HP Square Flange 56Y Dual Speed Full Rate Motor - B2983 5282-5)
If I get this relay kit how do I wire it to use both speeds on the pump - one for filtering low speed and the other high speed when I turn on the pool heater and connect the vacuum cleaner?
The wire with the spade connector will go to the clock (incoming power to relay) the black will be low speed, red high speed at the motor & the 2 pin connector at the pc board.
Is this relay compatible with the Aqualink Z4-PI to install a 2 speed pump?
I have a Aqualink RS6 control system. Will the 2-speed pump relay function with a variable speed motor (ecotech EZ motor with Jandy adaptor cable).? thank you
Hello Al, The 2 speed pump relay kit with only control 2 speeds on the variable speed pump that is not a Jandy. You would need to add another relay to the unit to control more then a high low pre set setting on your pump. With Jandy it is best to stay with a Jandy VS pump. If you have the revision of the board and serial number you can contract Jandy at Phone: (800) 822-7933 they will be able to tell you which model will be able to be fully controlled by your system.
