The threads that the tie rod screws into is striped, so the rod does not screw in properly. When the pumps is turned on the tank top pops off. Is there some way to prevent this from happening?

Hi, Connie. To resolve that issue, you can use an epoxy product to keep the rod in the housing or you can replace the tank body.

The drain plug on the lower canister body of the C 900 filter leaks. The drain plug may have built up pressure to the point of blowing out the drain plug, and ultimately drained half the water in the pool. I replaced the drain plug with a new one, but it still leaks. Is there a way to somehow seal the plug threads, or do I have to replace the tank body or replace with a new filter unit?

Hello Randy. The application of an epoxy product to the drain plug and drain plug threads may resolve the leak. Ultimately, the best way to prevent a re-occurrence is to replace the lower tank body or replace the complete filter unit. Financially, the better investment would be to replace the complete filter.
