Filter Tank Bottom - Taupe (sx200aa1t)
I recently purchased a vari flow system for my Hayward S200. I just found out that the bottom section of the filter has cracks. Should I just replace the bottom,? The image/diagram of the bottom section on your site is not clear to me. What is the other part pictured with the bottom section? Is it possible to buy a new S200 without the vari flow seeing I just bought a new one?

Hi Joan, I would just replace the bottom half if that is the only area with leaks as this would be roughly $300 less than purchasing an entire new Hayward S200 sand filter. The other part shown in the picture is the piece of the tank which secures to the bottom support stand. Unfortunately a new S200 filter is not available for purchase without a new vari flow valve.

I have a s240 sand filter & the bottom tank is cracked. Is the s200 bottom tank interchangeable?

Hi Tom, unfortunately, the S240 tank bottom was discontinued by Hayward without a replacement and the S200 tank bottom would not replace the S240 tank bottom. I would suggest a completely new filter like the Hayward S244S Sand Filter
