Mini Candelabra (E11) base
I replaced this new bulb in my American-AquaLight, 120V, 250W pool lamp. The bulb would not turn on. I checked the voltage, it is OK. It looks like the bulb is not fully going in the base and the + terminal is not connecting the + bulb base. The ceramic base of the bulb is not allowing the bulb to fully line up to the + terminal.The pool light does not have a reflector, it only a stainless steel casing around the bulb. Is this is the right bulb for my pool lamp?

Hi, Azmat. This bulb is compatible with the American Products Aqualight fixture if has the screw in base. There is also a twist lock bulb which is Item # JD250DC/120.

Is there a LED version of this? Need to replace spa light that is currently Astrolite II

Hello RK. The Hayward Astrolite II will accommodate a standard thread bulb. The J&J Color Splash LXG LED Spa Lamp model LPLS2RGB120 is a color-changing bulb compatible with this fixture. Please verify voltage is 120V. ColorSplash LXG LED Spa Lamp 120V - LPL-S2-RGB-120

Is this bulb an E11 or E12 base?

Hi Hank, these bulbs have a mini candelabra base which is an E11.

Make sure you turn off the electricity breakers and the bulbs are dead easy to replace. Very happy with our pool at night time.
