which position do you place the selector handle to perform backflow operation?

Hi Joe, With the pump off you will move the handle clockwise to the backwash position.

Hi Robert, The Cover (SPX740B) is the correct cover for the SP-740DE Vari-Flo Valve.

Does this part contain a pre-installed gasket? I heard if not, a special “glue” was required to get it to seat.
