Is this replaced from inside the filter? Do you have any instruction? Is this the right part for a 30 yr old EC65 Hayward filter?

This would be the correct part for the EC65 filter. We do not have a detailed guide on this replacement, but you will want to pull up gently on it, it should come out. This will be done from the inside of the filter.

Unfortunately, this item is no longer fabricated by the manufacturer. One way you may be able to locate this is by checking with a local pool retailer that may still have old stock.
