Hi. Is it possible to use a glue or sealant on 540 z2 gasket and joining surfaces then locking ring to stop water from leaking into
fixture. Thank you.
We would not recommend that, since it would make servicing the fixture difficult in the future. We do recommend replacing the gasket each time the light is serviced and using a little lubricant on the new gasket. This will ensure a good, long-lasting seal and will make any future bulb replacements easy.
Will this gasket fit a Hayward Pool light, Model #SP0573LN50
Thank you for contacting Inyo pools, Yes gasket Lens Gasket for Starlite, Duralite, CHD and Poolstar Light Fixture - SPX540Z2 is correct.
Hi - Does this work on SP0572LN50 - 300 watt /120 Volt Duralite Series 50F?
Thanks for your help.
Hi Jonathon, yes this lens gasket is compatible with the Hayward Duralite pool light series.
Is this the correct gasket for my Pool Star light replacement? Please see photos, OD on existing gasket measures 7 7/8 "
I have a hayward sp0583l and need the gasket and the long screw and nut that holds the metal bracket ar oil under the seal. What do I use?
Hello, How many gallons do you have in your pool and what is the max GPM the filter can handle?
Thank you for the answer on the gasket. what side of the gasket goes against the metal house vs the retainer or doe sit matter.
Hi, Johnny. The flat side goes against the fixture, the side with the lip faces the lens.
I am trying to find the lens gasket and lens for this Purex Pool Light.
The pool light has these numbers on them:
Forming Shell # 425
I have old pool star light serial #H738982 installed in a 30K gal pool. I have not opened up the fixture and don't know what I need in a replacement bulb or gasket but would like to have them on hand before attempting the replacement. Please point me to the correct gasket and bulb.
Roger, we are unable to suggest a replacement bulb without the wattage and voltage of your current light. The serial number did not reference any of that information. Please let us know the wattage and voltage so we can find the correct bulb replacement.
Is this made for the Purex pool light, My light is about 7 1/4 Diameter I cant find any model number anywhere on the it. but my pool was built in 1977 if that helps.
I've got an ancient CHD Model 100 400w 120v. Could you tell me what replacement bulb and gasket to use? Thanks
Team...I have a really old light which I restored like new, but needs the gasket. I guess the company is now Pentair, but it is a Purex Model 100-5 (500W). The lens is 7.5" OD. The old gasket wrapped around both sides of the lens, one side seats against the lens, the other side against the ring. Has 6 screws that fastens the ring against the body. This looks like the right gasket. What do you guys think? Big thanks!
My older pool light fixture is Pentair. The ring has 61-4600 on it. The glass lens is 8" in diameter. The old gasket is 7 3/4" in diameter. Do you have the replacement for this gasket? I also need a 100W 12V bulb.
The part number for the clamp cross references to the Pac Fab Hatteras Pool Light. The original lens has been replaced with the Lens, Clear (spx0540z1) and will use the Gasket Lens Hatteras (614516). The replacement bulb is the Bulb, 12v 100w Flood (br30cl100/12v)
Is gasket SPX540Z2 proper replacement for PUREX pool light housing Model 425?
I see a small bead on one side of this replacement gasket. Does the bead go against the rim of the fixture or facing out toward the water side of the len
This gasket wraps around the lens. As long as it is on evenly and on a cleaned off lens then it does't matter because as its clamped on the seal will be created.
(5 out of 5 stars) Thank you for carrying "obselete" replacement gaskets!

We were not able to locate a gasket for the pool light. All our local pool equiptment companies said our pool light was obselete and we were out of luck. Thank goodness INYO POOL carries various gaskets and even has some of them listed under "obselete". The whole process was very easy and we had the gasket within days. We are once again enjoying a swim under the stars! Thank you INYO POOL!
