Hi Sheila, I was not able to find a manual for the Pro Series 2400GPH Sand Filter, without the specs or p/n of the lateral I'm unable to confirm if the Lateral (155007) will fit.

I have a lateral, part number 155007 for Starbright DS-30 filter. I removed the laterals from the center tube for inspection. Al of them are OK. Since there is a blank side to the lateral, is there a certain position they must be in when reassembling ?

Hi Pete, The Laterals are installed so that the water exits from the lateral vertically.

When replacing the laterals the fins should go up. Here is a Video on Replacing Laterals which you may find helpful.
