I was wondering how to measure the part. The one I have that's broken has an external circumference of 3 inches.

Linda, If you can provide us with the information on what the nut is used on we can find the correct replacement.

The 2" nut is for the inlet on a Purex triton filter model#cc240p clean and clear

Hi Larry, The Pentair CC240P filter does not use standard unions, you will have to replace the Bulkhead Union Set (270004).
