Bought this cover ring and installed it but I found that there is additional rubber gasket approx 5 5/8" in diameter located around the cap. Do you sell this ring or do I need to buy a new cover with this ring installed ? Thank you, fxkowalski

Hi, Francis. The Hayward Chlorinators only use (1) of these o-rings which goes around the Cover - CLX200B.

Hello Thomas, yes that would be the correct oring or you can order the Hayward CL200 Tune Up Kit - APCK1052.

How often is normal for the replacement of this O ring. It seems to stretch past usefulness in a years time.

Hello Stephen, There isn't a specific lifespan for the chlorinator o-rings. I would highly recommend using a this lubricant, Magic Lube O-ring Lubricant, to help extend the life of your o-rings.

Hello Charles, the oring goes between the cover and the cap cover. Attached is the parts breaks down so it would be Key 4A and 5A

Should I put some silicon grease on the o-ring when replacing, or even add some every so often to help cut down on leaks or extend life of o-ring? Thanks

I would advise to use a specific o ring lubricant. Click here to view probably one of the more common types. Yes this would help extend the life of the o ring and help seal.
