HAYWARD STARCLEAR II FILTER LID O-RING
I have a 25 year old Hayward c-1100 filter and the gasket at the top needs replacement. The inside diameter is 9 1/2 and the outside about 9 7/8. Is this the appropriate replacement gasket/o-ring for this? Thanks very much.

Yes, this is the correct filter head o-ring for the Hayward C-100 filter.

This new o-ring in 3/8” diameter allows water to surge out briefly under the dome cap when the pump starts. No leaks when the pump settles to steady speed, eg, 3200 rpm. I’ve Hayward Star Clear II Model C-1100.
The old stock o-ring didn’t have this problem under initial pressure
Everything is clean and well secured. Why am I getting this surge leak?
Do you sell another o-ring 9 1/2” ID but 1/2” diameter?

Hi, Michael. Make sure that the o-ring is well lubricated. Unfortunately, we do not have an o-ring that is thicker.

I took the lid off. Noticed the o ring was worn out. I searched google for everything. I finally found inyopools.com and they had the perfect match. I ordered it and within a week it was at our door.
