I have a great white 9500 and I have changed the suction band and the lift brush, but still the unit will not turn. It will go in a straight or slightly curved path to a wall, climb the wall and then just stay at the surface in one spot for 4hrs. All the mechanical gearing is functioning smoothly, however, the unit will not do any of the random turning

Examine the lift brush mechanism as the cleaner is operating. To do this, you will have to turn the cleaner over while it is running and submerged. If the lift brush does not move to the “down” position within 2 minutes or less, call Customer Service at 1-800-831-7133.

I have a Pentair great white which has normal flow and oscillation, but no longer moves at all. Is it likely in need of a new isolator assembly kit? Thanks

Hello Jim. To troubleshoot further, remove the upper shroud, swivel assembly, and handle assembly. Manually move the oscillator assembly and watch the Cam and Gear Assembly for movement. The Cam and Gears should rotate and force the Lift Brush into an extended position, then clear, and the brush retract. If these movements take place, replace the Vacuum Skirt and install a new Oscillator Assembly Kit. Attached please find an exploded parts diagram for the Great White. Great White Further troubleshooting: increase suction strength at cleaner connection. check filter pressure - low pressure desirable. change suction source (vacuum port to skimmer)

It was the perfect replacement part for my pool cleaner and I was able to get instructions from YouTube, and they worked out fine
