My cleaner rotates counter clockwise but will not move and engage itself to go forward . Recently replaced the turbine cover because the "o" ring and connected mast failed. Rotates fine but won't engage to move. Spindles assy looks ok and wheel spines (inner outer) look ok. Cam seems to be functioning. Help Thank you Ron

Ron, What cleaner do you have is it pressure driven or does it run on suction? Check the drive wheels. They are made from plastic and have teeth like a sprocket. If the teeth are worn it could cause slipping. IT sounds like one side is bad that's why it is spinning.

How does steering ass function. My unit always swivels counterclockwise and causes hoses to coil.

Hi Sharon, The Poolvergneugen Pressure Cleaner (similar to The Pool Cleaner) has a programmed steering system that causes the left wheel to periodically reverse, allowing it to turn and then move into another direction. Over the course of time, the steering assembly may become damaged. This guide will show you how to replace it and get your cleaner back up and running.  Installing a new Steering Assembly Kit - 896584000-136 is a good place to start - other parts for it are located here.
