Good day, at this time Hayward does not list the part number for the wire or ribbon used to make the connection of the unit.

I have a tabletop display that says, "the base receiver is not responding." What does that indicate?
 Reply

A  Answered on 9/22/2021 by InyoPools Product Specialist Rich N.

Hi Ginny.  If you have not had any previous issues and if this is not a new installation then the radio signal may be too weak—try pointing the remote in the direction of the pool equipment or try moving closer to the pool equipment. If that doesn’t work, then there may be other equipment that is using the same frequency. Go to the Settings Menu/ Wireless Channel on any other display/keypad and select another channel. Note that after you change the channel you will have to “re-teach” every wireless remote device in the system.

I have a GLX-LOCAL-P8 table top control and I believe a GLX-LOCAL-P8, (no model number but it is the unit that mounts in the outside control box), The outside unit is bad. Is this the correct model? There are numbers on the front of the control (970003D-1). These numbers are on the lower right corner of the unit. The inside control numbers are AQL-TB-RS-PS-8

Yes this is the direct replacement for the AQL-TB-RS-PS-8 Table Top Control.

I have a GLX-LOCAL-PS-8 control panel. Within the past two years, it's gone blank. No lights, no power, nothing. I had my pool service guy change it out last time and I want to do it now. Why is this happening? What can prevent this? $400+ isn't something I want to keep forking up. The fuses are good and there is power to the main board. Just no control for the control panel. Has your electrician checked the power supply for proper voltage and grounding? Do you have a surge protector installed on the hardware?

wall mount model on AQL-WW-RF-PS-8 reads communication err 2 what must be replaced wall mount keypad or motherboard
 Reply

A  Answered on 3/18/2015 by InyoPools Product Specialist Sharon F.

According to the owner's manual, Communication Err 2 is "the display/keypad is not receiving any communication from the Pro Logic/ Aqua Logic main control unit. The most likely cause of this problem is a broken wire or "open circuit" in wires "2" and/or "3" in the cable between the display/keypad and the Pro Logic/Aqua Logic main control unit."  For additional assistance, you can contact Hayward at 866-772-2100 or refer to the AquaLogic owners manual.

My display unit will erratically go into "service" mode on its own. And then I cannot always get it back to automatic mode by pressing the service button twice. Can you tell me if I might need a new display unit or could it be something else? It is really frustrating. I am ready to order a new PS 8 display butam afraid I might need something more? My pool is not salt water and no chloranation system, just a filter, pump, and heater

I would suggest, unless you already have, to call the experts at Hayward and get their professional word. We are simply an on-line retailer of 1000's of products, so I know a little about many things, but the Hayward techs know just theirs. The number for them is 908-355-7995.

Unplugged the old unit. Replaced the prongs holding the display to the PCB. Plugged the new unit and viola it worked.
