My display unit will erratically go into "service" mode on its own. And then I cannot always get it back to automatic mode by pressing the service button twice. Can you tell me if I might need a new display unit or could it be something else? It is really frustrating. I am ready to order a new PS 8 display butam afraid I might need something more? My pool is not salt water and no chloranation system,just a filter, pump, and heater

According to the owner's manual, Communication Err 2 is "the display/keypad is not receiving any communication from the Pro Logic/ Aqua Logic main control unit. The most likely cause of this problem is a broken wire or "open circuit" in wires "2" and/or "3" in the cable between the display/keypad and the Pro Logic/Aqua Logic main control unit." For additional assistance, you can contact Hayward at 866-772-2100 or refer to the AquaLogic owners manual.

I have a GLX-LOCAL-PS-8 control panel. Within the past two years, it's gone blank. No lights, no power, nothing. I had my pool service guy change it out last time and I want to do it now. Why is this happening? What can prevent this? $400+ isn't something I want to keep forking up. The fuses are good and there is power to the main board. Just no control for the control panel. Ease help
Has your electrician checked the power supply for proper voltage and grounding? Do you have a surge protector installed on the hardware?

I have a GLX-LOCAL-P8 table top control and I believe a GLX-LOCAL-P8, (no model number but it is the unit that mounts in the outside control box), The outside unit is bad. Is this the correct model? There are numbers on the front of the control (970003D-1). These numbers are on the lower right corner of the unit. The inside control numbers are AQL-TB-RS-PS-8

Hi, Pat. This will not replace the Tabletop Remote - GLX-TB-RF-PS-8. This is the interface for the main control panel.
