Hello Ron - According to Hayward you must use the IDXLHXA1250 heat exchanger.

Sir - is the 1250 the same as, or compatible with the 1250A?

Hi, The FDXLHXA1250A is for an ASME unit which is for commercial use, it's not compatible with FDXLHXA1250.

I have a 3 year old Hayward H250FDN pool heater serial #:
(21) 1313041019883001. Will this heat exchanger fit into my heater? There is 6623-451 and 6223-190 listed. Do you need the kit in order to make the replacement exchanger fit into my heater? Are these items brand new?

Is this heat exchanger complete with O rings, gaskets, thermistor and high limit sensor? Is this unit new?

Is the replacement exchanger part number FDXLHA1250 ? And that unit is stock?
