I need parts for my filter valve. When I look at the filter parts breakdown, it gives me different choices. How do I know which one is the one I need?

In order to locate the correct parts we will need to know the model number of the filter valve. Two identical filters can have two different valves. Typically the valve model will be located on the label of the valve. If there is no model number on the valve, you can try to see if there are any part numbers on the valve itself. I have this valve on my pool filter and it has started leaking around the selector lever stem.
Can I get a rebuild kit to replace the gaskets and o-rings or do I have to replace the whole valve?

We do not have a kit for this model valve but on this parts diagram, the seals commonly replaced to resolve this sort of leak are listed on keys 3,6 and 8.

If I’m replacing a multi-port valve with a push pull valve, which one would fit the S7MD72 filter?

Hi Roxanne, this Valve, 2" Push-pull, 7.81" Center (263053) - 4685-1 will work on your Sta-Rite System 3 D.E. filter.
