Can the volume be adjusted on the nozzle or just the spray pattern?

Only the spray pattern can be adjusted. If you need to adjust the volume, I would recommend installing a diverter valve in the plumbing.

What size pipe thread is it. Mine are 1/2 inch.

Chris, The manufacturer lists the thread as 3/4".

RE: Deck Jet p/n 25597-000 One description states the jet is non-adjustable, while the overview states that it is "adjustable." Please elaborate on the definition of adjustable. Also, if it is adjustable why is there an optional "adjustable" nozzle (25597-200-900) offered?

Hi, Rick. The nozzles that are included with the Deck Jet w/ Cap, Non-Adjustable - 25597-000-000 are non-adjustable. You can purchase the Deck Jet w/ Cap, Adjustable - 25597-200-000 or this Adjustable Deck Jet Nozzle - 25597-200-900.
