Do you need to buy a gasket or does it come with one. My Spa is 10 years old with a regular spa light, is it easy to replace?

Jill, The LPL70301102A does not come with any gaskets. You will need to purchase one separately. In order to find the correct gasket, you will need to know the make and model of the light housing. Once you have that info, you can find the parts breakdowns here.

I have a pool light fixture in my spa. Is it ok to use the spa Colorsplash instead of the pool Colorsplash LED bulb since they are both Edison type? Just trying to save some money.

Hello Bill. You can use the Spa Colorsplash bulb as long as the fixture is, as you say, a standard pool size. The bulbs are just sized for the fixture they can fit. Please, make sure to replace the gasket when doing this. No matter how new the fixture, a $15-$20 gasket to protect a higher priced bulb than a standard is a sound investment.

I have a Hayward SP0591HSL100. Seems that it is an AstroLite II, but it has a halogen bulb. Will this or the 2G spa lamp work? If not, is there any LED option that will work?

Unfortunately none of the LED replacement bulbs will fit into a halogen base. All of the LED bulbs have an Edison base which is similar to a standard screw in style base you see on light bulbs in your home, where the halgen bulbs are a clip in bulb. Your best option would be to replace the complete light fixture with the Hayward Colorlogic Spa Light. I have a hayward SP 591 SL 100 watts 120v spa fixture that looks alot like the 590 model you show. Would I be correct in assuming this 3G bulb would work along with a new gasket?

Hello Bryan yes the LPL70301102A will be the correct LED replacement for that light and 3553-03 will be the light gasket you need

Pros: Features work really well.
Cons: Not enough punch
The bulb operates as advertised and is great for the spa. My pool light is the same size aSony spa light, so this size bulb in a larger pool does not work that well (no fault of the light bulb manufacture). Wish they could make this size bulb brighter.

I bought 2 of these LED bulbs to upgrade my pool and spa lights and was disappointed The colors were not every bright and I was unable to select a desired color since this bulb was not compatible with my iAqualink pool automation system.

Great for our 19,000 gallon pool application !! Our light niche / holder was very small and I could not find a larger Pool LED Bulb to fit in ours so I ordered from these guys the Spa size one. The Spa lamp is not as bright as the larger pool lamp, but we love the glow it gives off. Note to the installer - I put 3 standard bulb extension adapters to push the bulb closer to the glass so the bulb is not so far back. Worked great !! Note - these guys give great service as well!! Pros: great price and decent light.
Cons: my pool
Light was easy to instal and the colors are great. Unfortunately for me my pool has a spa sized light, don't know why they built it like that. I will also purchase one of these for my spa in the future, it is a cost effective alternative to the more expensive options.
