I have an EasyTouch Controller and am wondering if I can change the colors using the controller. I understand that I can switch the light on and off, but I want to understand how the colors are controlled.

Hi Peter, We put together this Video on How to Control a Pool LED Light Bulb which shows how the colors are controlled. The video is a different bulb but it works the same way as this bulb. Using an EasyTouch Controller would work the same as a light switch by powering the light on and off relatively quickly to cycle through the color shows.

Does this mean the only way to control the color is via switching on and off a certain number of times? I thought the easytouch has menu options to control color lights. Also, this will not integrate with Screenlogic, right? Is there any system that allows this functionality to be controlled via screenlogic?
Reply
Hi Peter, Yes for this light the only way to control is by switching the light on and off relatively quickly through your EasyTouch/ScreenLogic controller. The good thing is the bulb has memory so let's say if you find out that you like the Party Mode color show and if that is the last color show the light was on when turned "Off" then the next time the light is schedule to turn "On" then it comes on in the last mode used, in this scenario the next time the light turned on then it would turn on in "Party Mode". If you want for the color shows to display on your EasyTouch/Screenlogic controller then you would need to go with one of these Pentair Intellibrite Lights.

I purchased pl5811 and feel it isn’t strong/bright enough. Will this LXG LED be better? I noticed the pl5811 has only 12 watts and this one has 23. I don’t want to purchase another bulb one day after the last one but I would like more light in the pool.

I have a Sta-Rite metal ring that measures 8.5" outside edge to outside edge. The gasket has ten (10) holes in it and measures 7-5/8" in diameter. The lense has ten (10) holes along the perimeter and measures 7-3/8" in diameter. Do you have a gasket for this light system?

Hi, Tim. You can not install a 120v bulb into a 12v fixture. You'll need the ColorSplash LXG LED Pool Lamp 12V - LPL-P2-RGB-12 which is the 12V option.

For a color-changing LED light, how do I switch between the different settings with just a standard light switch?
Reply
The LED lights are designed to move to the next programmed setting each time you turn the switch on and off. This will toggle through the different color settings and shows.

What is the difference between the G3 and the G2 LED Light?
Reply
The G3 uses newer technology which gives you brighter light output than the G2, also the older technology on the G2 let's you see individual rays of light where the new technology on the G3 has a much smoother light output. You may view or purchase either light here >http://www.inyopools.com/lights_jjelectronics.aspx

I have 2G lights in my pool and want to put a 3G light in my spa. Will the 2G and 3G versions synchronize with one another?
Reply
According to the manufacturer, the 2G and 3G versions will not synchronize with one another. To have the lights on the same color rotation, you would need to have the same version in both your pool and spa.
