Swimming Pool Pump

The Speck Model E71 medium head pump has been engineered for durability and quiet performance with economy in mind. The all-around pool pump with extra large basket is ideally suited for above-ground and on-ground pools. The Model E71 is designed using 100% recyclable "environment friendly" plastics.

Features:

  • This high performance, medium head pump comes complete with an industry standard 5/8" mechanical seal for convenient replacement.
  • Pump parts are made of 100% recyclable plastic. Non-corrosive, chemical/UV resistant, and can withstand temperatures of up to 150° F.
  • The Model E71 is available with vertical or horizontal discharge to connect to existing pool filters.
  • For pool users' safety, the impeller has a dielectric shaft sleeve that provides absolute separation between the pool water and electric parts.
  • Pump is equipped with durable, economical 48 frame thru-bolt mount motor with stainless steel shaft.
  • Specially constructed clear lid with ring lock design is easy to open. Large strainer basket is always locked in place.
  • Suction and discharge ports are equipped with 1 1/2" quick disconnect unions. Also available with 2" quick disconnect unions. Discharge has 1 1/2" NPT internal thread and 2" external thread for easy replacement.
  • Reusable o-rings throughout.
  • Pump has standard 3ft. 3/12 AWG cord set premounted. A variety of cord sets are available.
  • The Model E71 comes complete with a full 12 month warranty

Are there any compatible pumps to this one that are less expensive?

Hello Mel, there is a Dynamo Pump 1-1/2 HP w/ STD Cord - 340210 which would be a compatible unit and less expensive unit.

is there a difference with this pump and the 1.5 HP Above Ground Pool Pump - PL1502. I have a proline above ground SK P7115H PUMP with an 75 DE - HK6 NAMCO filter. The pump started making a very loud screatching when it is running so im assuming it is going out and will need to replace the motor. Just was curious what pump to replace it with that will work also with the de filter setup.

The pump used on the Pro-Line filter in your photos uses a Side Discharge but you can rotate the discharge on the PureLine PL1502 1.5 HP Pump to be side discharge by following this Guide on Changing the PureLine Pure Pro XL to Side Discharge. You may also need to put some shims under the pump or filter so that the port on the PureLine Pump match up with the inlet port on your filter. Outside of these few modifications, everything would work just fine with the PureLine PL1502 1.5 HP Pump
