What is included with this skimmer? Also what are the dimensions of return eyeball fitting, wall fitting and hose connection size on the skimmer?

This skimmer has 1.5" Female Threaded port at the bottom of the skimmer. The skimmer also includes (2) 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" hose adapters, SP11041 Skim Vac which allows you to add a vac hose to the skimmer the port on the skim vac comes out at a 90 degree angle and can accept either 1.5" or 1.25" vac hose. Lastly the skimmer comes with a SP1023 wall fitting which has a 1.5" female thread on the back of the wall fittings and accommodates SP1419D eyeball fitting which screws into the SP1023 wall fitting. The SP1419D eyeball fitting is included with this skimmer the hole on the front of the eyeball fitting where the water returns to the pool is 3/4"

Yes, this skimmer comes with a Hydro Sweep Recirculation package which includes the following: SP1023 wall fitting, SP1419D eyeball fitting, (2) 1½" x 1 1/4" hose adapters, and SP11041 Skim Vac adapter plate to allow for vacuuming the pool.

Hi, Mike. Here is a breakdown of the Hayward SP-1091LX skimmer. According to the diagram, there is only one gasket that is mounted on the inside of the pool between the face plate and the pool wall.

Why wont this skimmer work on a intex pool? Could a person fabricate there own backer for the outside of pool?

Tom, This skimmer is designed for steel wall pools. Unfortunately it will not work on an Intex pool.

My vacuum hose doesn't keep a tight suction to skimmer basket. (SP1091LX) Is the basket suppose to be in a certain position when attaching vacuum hose?

Hi Maria, You may need to use the Hayward Vaccum Plate, if you are, make sure that the hose you're using has a 1-1/4" or 1-1/2" hose cuff.

What is the sizing of the external threads at the bottom of the skimmer body? I assume it is a proprietary Hayward union, is there a part number? I would like to maximize the flow capacity out of the skimmer.

Hello James, All we only have measurements for the pipe 1 1/2" female threads and any replacements will be found under Hayward SP-1091LX.

i need to get hold of a hayward sp 1090 skimmer basket and also the supporting ring that goes around it. it seems like this line has been discontinued. Is there anything else that will fit my pool filter without me having to replace the whole thing?

Is there a union fitting that screws onto the outside threads of the skimmer output? What is the part number? Does it allow me to use a 2" pipe? I'm looking to connect this skimmer to my pentair 342001 pump using the 2" unions on the pump. Thanks!

Yes very good, but watch out some pools have the hole already cut out, you don't want to change it if at all possible. The wall has been treated at the factory for corrosion.

Unfortunately no, as these were designed for above ground pools. The average suction strength for an above ground pool is far less than as inground ones need hence the inground ones have wider lines.
