Also the motor is good but i have a leak in the wet housing, can I just replace the wet housing and not the motor?

Hi, Ralph. You can use this Hayward TriStar 2 HP, Max Rated Pump - SP3215X20 as a direct replacement to the model you have. The TriStar Strainer Housing With Plugs - SPX3200A can be replaced. Other replacement parts are available using the Hayward TriStar Pump Parts Diagram.

what is the difference between the tristar pump SP3225 and the super II SP3020. They both appear to be 2.5HP.

Hi, Gregory. The performance is the difference. The TriStar Pump is designed to move more water than the Super II Pump.

Hi Gilbert, Based on your model # your old pump was a dual speed. If you are okay with a single speed then this would be the correct pump for you. You would also need this Hayward Northstar to Tristar Riser Base so you dont have any re-plumbing.

Hello Brien. The Hayward Pool Products TriStar 2.0 HP Max Rated Pool Pump is a compatible replacement for the Jandy Stealth 2.0 HP model SHPM Pool Pump. Comparing the performance data for each pump, they are very similar. In all probability, there will be re-plumbing required to make the transition.

I have an old Hayward Northstar with a 2hp and 2" inlet... i am looking at this Hayward W3SP3215X20 model to replace it... i have an older timer setup so its on/off with a timer power setup. Would this model likely be a good replacement for my older one? i broke my diffuser SB4000 part # and cannot find one to replace it. your help is appreciated.
