No, this is a 24 hour timer. The pump will turn on and off at the same time every day.

If there is a power outage will it retain the programmed cycles?

The PE153 does have a battery backup. The capacitor can hold a 4 hour charge. The programs stay locked in even if the power is out longer. You would just need to reset the time.

Can we program each separate circuit to independently turn on/off at different times of the day and for different amounts of time?

Does the battery backup need to b replaced at anytime? If power is lost for several hours, does the freeze protecting programming need to be reset?

Hello Dino - The time is stored for about 80 hours by a capacitor that should never need replacement.  The freeze , when programmed, should never go away unless someone programs it out.
