My pool pump motor indicates V115/230. Will thistimer accommodate the pool pump? Also, can you tell me the voltage on the clock motor?

Your pump can be wired either 115V or 230V If you have your pool pump wired at 230V than you would want to go with the T104P3 timer if you have the pump wired at 115V than you would want to go with the T101P3 timer. T104P3 timer has a 230V time clock motor and the T101P3 timer has a 115V time clock motor. You may purchase either of these time clocks through the following link http://www.inyopools.com/controls_intermatic.aspx

How many on/off devices come with the unit? I am using this for my eletric hot water heater, I want the heater to come on around 5:00AM and off at 7:00AM, then on again at 5:00PM and off and 7:00PM. So I guess I'm asking can I program two on and off's or do I have to buy something else?

This timer comes with one "On" tripper and one "Off" tripper  but can accommodate up to 12 On/Off positions. So to accomplish the following "...come on around 5:00AM and off at 7:00AM, then on again at 5:00PM and off and 7:00PM" You would require the purchase of the timer which comes with 2 trippers, plus the purchase of one additional set of on / off trippers which you may view or purchase here http://www.inyopools.com/Products/02400004003526.htm

My pool pump is a 1.39 HP and as a Hubbell hb5666c plug. What kind of timer do I need to have it run turn and off every four hours. Thank you

Hi Marvin, If your pump is wired 115V then this would be the timer for you. If your pump is wired 240V then you would require the Intermatic 240V Pool Pump Timer T104P3

Can I hook up a pool salt chlorination system and a pool pump. Both are 110 vollts. thank you.

Hi Robin, You can use this timer to control your pump and chlorine generator as long as the amp draw does not exceed the limit coming from the breaker.

My above ground pool pump and salt water chlorinator has a standard 110v grounded plug on the ends of the power cables. Can I simply plug them into this timer, or does an outlet get wired into this timer, and then I plug pump/chlorinator into the outlet?
 Reply

A  Answered on 5/15/2017 by InyoPools Product Specialist Lennox H.

Hi, Kev. Both your pump and generator would have to to be hard wired directly to this timer. This timer would eliminate the outlet

I have an above ground pool that is running on a 1.5hp pump. The label on the motor states, "Motor prewired 115 Volt." Is this timer large enough to accommodate my pool pump?

Hi. Yes, this timer will be able to power your pump when wired to a sufficient size breaker.

This has to be hard wired in? It does not have a receptacle for a 3 prong connector?

Hi, David. This time must be hardwired to and from.

What would be wrong with using this timer to control an outlet mounted in a weather tight box and plugging the pump and chlorinator into the outlet? Wouldn't that give the same result as hard wiring the equipment to the timer? It would be easier to winterize if you could just unplug the equipment and remove it.

Hi, David. You can hardwire the outlet to this timer to control whatever is plugged into the outlet.

What does the on/off switch control? Does it turn off the timer and leave the load energized or does it turn off the load? When turned off, does the clock continue to run to stay on schedule when the switch is turned back on?
 Reply

A  Answered on 6/14/2018 by InyoPools Product Specialist Megan C.

It powers the equipment on and off, the time clock will continue to have power running to it. If you use the trippers to control the on and off feature, you will not need to use the manual shut off.

If you are needing a timer for controlling just the pump then I would recommend using timer model T104P3.

Hi, in the past Q&As it seems there is conflicting responses about including a GFCI plug in line with this timer, T101P3. Can the sequence be: timer wired directly to the breaker, GFCI plug be wired directly to the timer, and then plug the pump into the GFCI plug? Also, is the timer GFCI rated? Thanks!

I just receiced my new T101P3 timer. I didn't realize that it did not come with a power cord. Now unlike other timers it doesn't have a receptacle to plug the pool motor into it either. Where Can I get an electrical schematic on how to put this together. I connected the power cord to the timer then realized that there was no where to plug the motor into. Thanks
