How many lights can be controlled with 1 IntelliBrite Controller?
 Reply

A  Answered on 1/19/2012 by InyoPools Product Specialist Patrick P.

The IntelliBrite Controller can control individual or multiple IntelliBrite LED lights. Multiple IntelliBrite LED lights can be connected via a junction box to an IntelliBrite Controller so that all lights can be switched on and off together. When using multiple IntelliBrite LED lights, the total allowable light wattage is 300 Watts maximum. The following example combination of IntelliBrite LED lights can be connected to the IntelliBrite Controller: Two (2) IntelliBrite LED pool lights (each light 70 Watt maximum) One (1) IntelliBrite LED spa light (70 Watt maximum) Eight (8) Landscape LED lights (each light 15 Watt maximum)

Can I install the IntelliBrite Controller using the existing flip switch wiring. and is it like changing a switch.

Hi Dean, I would check the Wiring on Page 6 of the IntelliBrite Controller's Installation Guide and if your wiring on your switch looks similar then you would be good to go.

We have multiple IntelliBrite 5g Pool LED lights (#601012, 26W) and IntelliBrite 5g Pool LED lights (#640132s, 18W). Can I connect, for example, 10 #601012s and 2 #640132s to one IntelliBrite Controller? The example in the Pentair manual says #601012 (each light 50W max) and #641032 (each light 40W max), which makes me confusing.

My IntelliBirite 5g LED light is stuck in one color. Turning the light switch Multi times will not get it out of the Blue only color. Light is two years old. Will the control box fix this problem if I add it.

Hi, Steven. If you're unable to switch the colors using the light switch then the IntelliBrite Controller may not work.

Is this part required to operate the Intellibrite 5G pool light or does the light itself come with a switch and this is just another option??
 Reply

A  Answered on 10/10/2018 by InyoPools Product Specialist Hector F.

This is the controller to use with the Intellibrite, or you can just use your standard on/off switch to cycle between color/light shows.

I have a new pool with 2 Pentair Globright color changing LED's. The light switch is installed inside the house via a 2 wire BX cable from the transformer that is located outside. The manual for the Intellibrite controller depits that a white wire is required. Not sure what function requires the white wire. Perhaps this just provides a circuit for the control switch illumination. Can I install without the white wire. Or can I connect the white wire to the BX shield.

Hello Joe, the 600054 would not work with the Hayward lights. The Hayward light controller would be the ColorLogic Light Controller - Standalone (12v) - LKCUS1100.

I have the pentair intellibrite lights. They do not synch up, so if I select Blue, I get a different color, if I select White, I get. Different color and so on. Will this resolve the issue?

 Reply

A  Answered on 1/15/2022 by InyoPools Product Specialist Craig C.

Hello Matt.  The Pentair Pool Products IntelliBrite Controller is designed to control individual or multiple IntelliBrite LED Lights.  Selecting color light shows or fixed colors is achieved by rotating the color/light show selection dial.  The IntelliBrite Controller communicates with the IntelliBrite LED Light(s) identifying the pre-programmed color light show or fixed color.  Attached please find the Installation and User's Guide for the IntelliBrite Controller.  Please note the wiring instructions for multiple light applications.  Installation and User’s Guide

That doesn’t answer my questions at all, but thanks for telling what it does, I’ve only had it installed for 6 years. It was working properly, now it doesn’t. The color I select is not the color I get in the pool.

Hello Matt, if you have not tried already, you may need to reset the controller. If resetting the controller does not resolve it, most likely you will need to replace the controller.
