I need to replace my above ground pool pump. It is a waterco aquamite 2HP..would this dynamo pump have the same size connections etc, so that I could switch them out? I can't seem to find a waterco aquamite. Thanks!

Hello Linda - The Dynamo pump is not an exact match to the Aquamite. This Dynamo pump has 1.5" female threaded ports. This pump will work with most above ground systems. It may require fittings, flexible hose, and metal clamps.

I believe this Jacuzzi Magnum 2 HP Pump is about as close as we can get. It can run at either 115/230, it has 2" port size and the inlet is 9 3/8" to center.

Hi, The Dynamo Pump will not be an exact replacement for the Waterway Pump, you will have to use different connections or use the Butress Adapter (417-4161).

Hi Teddy, Yes you can remove the screws on the pump housing to rotate the discharge port making it side discharge.

Hi, Joe. This Dynamo Pump 2 HP - 340219 can be used if your filter is larger enough to handle the water flow.

I have a Pentair Dynamo Pump 2HP (P/N: 340219). I noticed it was humming while trying to operate, resulting in tripping my circuit breaker. I opened the motor casing and the shaft was free spinning with 0 resistance. When searching for the capacitor there was none in my view. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Unfortunately, we do not have the listing for the Pentair capacitors you may use How To Select the Right Capacitor For Your Pool Pump Motor or contact Pentair directly at 1.800.831.7133 with the model and serial number from the motor.

I have an old 1.5hp Max-e-glas-2 pump that is not working, can this be a replacement?
 Reply

A  Answered on 5/26/2020 by InyoPools Product Specialist Patrick P.

Hi Joel, this would not be the correct replacement as it is specifically designed for above ground pools. We would suggest this 1.5 HP Waterway Pump the plumbing ports are not in the exact same location so you will have a little re-plumbing but nothing major.

Actually, if you go with this 1.5 HP Waterway Champion Pump then there are adjustable based included that will make it a drop in replacement for theMax-e-glas-2
