I have a Nautilus FNS 48 DE pool Filter. I have a slightly crack manifold causing DE to leak back into the pool. I need to replace the item. Will your Grid Manifold w/ extension #192173 Part # 4600-2173 work in my system. Thank you in advance for your help.

I have a PAC-FAB FNS-48 DE filter. Its 22 years old and still working fine. Should last a couple years more I hope. My back wash valve needs replacing. Its leaking. Ordered one form local pool supplier and it was not the right one. I understand better ones out there than the one I got. What would you recommend? Looks like distance between center is 8 inches. Thx

Hi, Brad. The FNS filters use a 7.5" centerline valve, not an 8 inch. If you do have an 8" centerline valve I would recommend the SP0715ALL so that you can make the connection to the filter.

Last year I replaced the manifold on my Pentair nautilus FNS 36 DE filter due to a large crack along side the internal air bleed assembly causing the DE to bleed into the pool. I blamed myself for possibly mishandling it when I cleaned the filter. The exact same problem has occurred this year with the DE bleeding into the pool. The manifold is cracked in the exact same area I know it was not due to mishandling the filter per lesson learnt from previous issue. What could be the possible cause?

There are really a number of possible causes for such an issue. High pressure due to a dirty filter, high pump pressure, or back resistance from a return valve adjusted incorrectly could cause that. Even high chlorine chemistry causing some plastic parts to become brittle as well.

Hi Rob, Could you send us a few photos of your filter? A close of the label on the filter, a wide shot of the filter and a close up of the Valve label? To supply photos simply click the reply link below and upload your photos. Once we get any of this information we can make the proper recommendation.

I have very similar question as Rob. Manifold is cracked. Only info that is legible on filter label is Nautilus Pac Fab FRP. I know it is 36 Sq ft. I want to know if the 19273 manifold is correct replacement or 19293 or other? I have attached 3 pics. Thank You in advance.

I have a 60 sq ft Nautilis FNS filter (Pentair PasFab) - maybe 20 years old, fiberglass parallel upper and lower tank. The cracked top manifold has a part number 192195. I cannot find any reference to this online. I am not sure I have room for the air filter shown on top of the 192173 manifold. Is a 192173 the same as a 192195? Two pics attached. Seems like nothing filled out on name plate? Using 60 sq ft filters and rods are 33.5" long - so I know it is a 60 sq ft filter.

Unfortunately we are not able to reference the 192195 either & we believe it is due to the age. Filters will have about a 10 year life span so they are generally no longer supported by the original mfg as they will say it is time to replace the complete unit. The other FNS model uses a 59023700 manifold that we also looked at but it has an air bleed that is even longer.

The Top Grid Manifold w/ Extension - 192173 is the only suggested manifold for the FNS filters there should be space between the manifold and the top of the lid. The extension and Strainer, Air Relief installed to the manifold will only need 5" of vertical clearance. You can always measure the current manifold and air relief to compare before ordering.

Does this manifold and extension come with the "Strainer, Air Relief 3/4" - 172855" part? I did not find it in the packaging.

Some of these newer manifolds may not have the port for an air relief screen however if yours does please contact us using our online chat feature regarding your order and we can further assist you.
