This is the part number that matches to the site glass for that Multi-port valve. SPX0710MA I know that it once was glass, but I believe they have now switched to plastic. To be 100% sure, may I suggest giving Hayward Tech a call at 908-355-7995.

I have an old Haywood SP715 and the sight glass is much shorter than shown here. Cannot install a long sight glass due to interference with the coupling nut of main line. Is the short sight glass still available?

Hi Tim, We will need to know the model of the valve that you have in order to locate the correct sight glass. The current slight glasses does not have a screw but threads.

I'm installing my pump for the first time myself. I have everything pretty much done except for the sight glass SPX0710MA and the gasket that came with it. Does the gasket go around the sight glass or in where the sight glass screws in at?

These gaskets sit inside of the port where the sight glass threads into so the glass actually compresses against it.

These sight glasses are threaded to the port in the valve so I would recommend holding it with a hand towel as you loosen.

Hi, Selena. Replacing the sight glass is something that you can do yourself. We do not have a video, the sight glass simply unscrews from the valve body.

Hi Steven, yes this is the correct sight glass for the model Hayward SP711 multiport valves manufactured from 1976 to current.

Your pictures of this Sight glass looks to be longer than wants current install on my filter valve assembly see attached picture. Also your picture of sight glass appears to have hole in the end of sight glass , want prevents water from spraying out during backwash ?
Hi Calvin, no worries. There is not a hole on this sight glass - it is just the way the mold was designed and the way it was photographed, and it is not the correct sight glass for your Pentair - Pac Fab Top Mount valve 27-2526 anyway. You would need this Sight Glass - E-17-S1 and the Sight Glass Gasket - E-16-S1.
