I have a Laars Lite 2, Model LG LP Gas pool heater which is approximately 87 or 8 years old. Our pool service company says it needs a temperature control assembly - LG to operate safely. Will this particular Temp. Control Assy., Eps (r0011700 substitute for my heater?

Hi DJ, The difference is which heater the control works on, the 6203-071B works on the Laars ES, ESII, EPS, EPC-II, and LLD models of heaters. The 6203-071D works on the Laars EG, EPG, ESG, LLG and EPM model of heaters. You should be able to pull one of these model #'s off of your heater.

i have a teledyne laars series 1 jacuzzi heater. it has a tendency to initially light up and work at first try then goes on for long periods where only gas odor comes out but wont re-light unless we turn it off and restart the unit. what could the problem be? the igniter maybe and if so which part no? thanks in advance

It is probably the igniter but typically they either work or not. It could be a ground problem check your ground wires and make sure they are clean and have a good connection.

I have a Laars Lite LLD400P which I believe I need a new on/off switch for as the burner tries to light when the switch is in the off position. The units burner is also lighting, then shutting itself down after about 10 seconds, and will then repeat the lighting and shutting down sequence again and again. I would appreciate any advice on parts numbers and what needs to be replaced to correct this. Thanks, Bubba
