I am not getting the pump to prime fully. The basket that this cover fits onto does not fill completely. I've looked at everything and noticed that the plastic insert (see thru window) on this part is loose/wiggly but the o-ring inside is in great shape and fully intact. How common is it for the plastic insert to shrink/get loose?

Christy, The clear part of the lid is a separate part of the handle assembly. The easiest way to determine if the lid is the issue is to slowly pour some water over the lid while the pump is running. If the basket fills, then the lid needs to be replaced. If it does not fill, air is being drawn in from another source.

I have brand new pool that I have not been because I cannot get 5112-203 for your hayward pump. What can I replace it with it has been broken 12 weeks and sunshine fun pools said they were looking for 15 of them that means 15 pools around me are dirty and water might not be safe.
Please PLease PLEASE HELP ME GIVE ME SOME IDEAS

Unfortunately, there is a big shortage of a lot of parts due to the Texas Freeze and COVID. The current estimate to get this part is 12 weeks. We do not have a replacement for this part at this time.

Will this fit sp3200L? Those are the only identifiers I see on the lid.
