Hayward Tri Star Strainer Cover Kit (spx3200dls)
I am not getting the pump to prime fully. The basket that this cover fits onto does not fill completely. I've looked at everything and noticed that the plastic insert (see thru window) on this part is loose/wiggly but the o-ring inside is in great shape and fully intact. How common is it for the plastic insert to shrink/get loose?

Christy, The clear part of the lid is a separate part of the handle assembly. The easiest way to determine if the lid is the issue is to slowly pour some water over the lid while the pump is running. If the basket fills, then the lid needs to be replaced. If it does not fill, air is being drawn in from another source.

Tri- Star Strainer cover kit spx3200dls. Does this kit come with the lock ring and O-ring?
