What size threads are on the threaded rod for the nut to fit, its seams to be 7/16 in diameter? the threaded part for the clamp that holds the cover of the pump.

Hi Mark, I am showing that this Brass Sleeve accomodates a 5/16" bolt and the sleeve measures roughly 2" to 2-1/2" long (24 threads). This brass sleeve is commonly used on the Hayward Micro Clear & Hayward Super Star Clear filters so if you have one these filters then this brass sleeve will work for you. If you have a different filter then please email us your filter's details and we will try to track down the proper part for you.

Robert, This nut will only fit the older style Hayward Micro Clear d.e. filter with the metal clamp.

I have a pre 2006 DE 3620 - Will the size and threads match on this replacement part to the old Clamp assembly.?
It seems Hayward changed the clamp and the size of the nut or threads on the replacement clamp and assembly so the new one cant work on my old DE 3620. Why Hayward just didnt change the model who knows.

Hi Thomas, If you have a DE3620 and need to replace just the nut, then unfortunately there is not a replacement for just that nut. You will need this complete new Pro Grid Clamp Assembly.

does the v60-119 clamp nut come ina different thread pitch ? We have new clamp nuts and the don't match the original thread size.

Hi, John. This Nut - V60-110 is not available in a different thread type. The threads are specific to the Hayward MicroClear Clamp Assembly.

Filter is Leslie's DE_4800. The obsolete clamp (key #10) has obsolete spring assemblies (key#26). The spring and nut are missing on one side. My questions: Are springs needed on both sides?; if not does the brass sleeve nut replace the complete obsolete assemble # 26 and is it OK to just close off one side of the clamp without a spring.

The spring on both sides serves to be a visual for tightness as well as protecting the threads as the unit is under pressure. your filter clamp assy is NLA & the filter was discontinued in 2009, we really need to recommend a new filter complete.

Hi, John. Yes, it will only if you have the old style clamp assembly. It's not compatible with the new Clamp Assembly Kit - DEX2421JKIT.

Does this fit into the t-bolt of a pre 2008 Hayward de2420 pro grid series filter. I stripped the nut and Hayward told me they discontinued making a replacement nut

That would be the DE2400 series and yes that bolt assembly is compatible with that original clamp assembly.

Hello Angelo,We do not have a bolt that would work with that unit. Most of the units that use that sleeve would be already welded into the Clamp Assembly.

i have a discontinued 450 & 550 series smartfilter. it has the metal band around it that holds the 2 pieces of the filter together. the bolt works but the head is striped. will this replace it? the dimensions are the same.

Hello Frank. The Val-Pak Brass Sleeve Nut V-60-110 is a generic replacement for the Hayward DEX2400JN and will fit the Blue Haven 450 and 550 series filters.
