hi, i also need a replacment for the CX225XREM. Not sure why you recommend to buy a cartridge much smaller? OEM is 28 inch tall and you suggestion a product 11 inch tall? Please let me know.

The CARTRIDGE ELEMENT C225SBHMB confirms the CX225XREM. The CX225XREM confirms to use CX225RE or Filter, Generic Cartridge 25 Sq.ft. (c-4325) as the replacement. If this does not confirm correct, we recommend contacting Hayward directly at (908) 355-7995 or provide the dimensions of your filter, we will need the Length, Outside Diameter of each of the filter, and the Inside Diameter of the top and bottom holes to review.

Hi, Sandra. To determine which size cartridge you need, check to see which size is punch-out or check on the sticker. If none of the sizes are indicated, you will have to physically measure the cartridge height.

Hi Peter, From what we are showing this PL0167 is the correct replacement cartridge, but please compare your cartridge dimension to these PL0167 Cartridge Dimensions just to be on the safe side. If they match then you are good to go with this cartridge.
