Does this pump have the same mount as a Hayward Power-Flo LX?

Hi Sally, the Pl1505 would not match the Hayward fittings. You would need to order 1.5" Male Threaded Union x 1.5" Slip Union - PL1643. Two will need to be ordered.

I am looking at the top picture of this pump motor and see that the discharge port is on the side of the pump, but then if you look at the next picture below where it gives the description, the discharge port is shown on the top of the unit. Can you tell me the actual location of the discharge port? The pump that I have is brand new but was used with a very old motor; the motor finally died and need a new motor only. Do you sell the pool pump motors with the discharge on the side separately?

Hi, Simone. The discharge on this pump is located to the side as shown in the product images.

The PL1505 appears to be the correct replacement for my current pump, except that my current pump has a twist-lock power cord and that is the only outlet available near the pump. Is that power cord swappable?

Joe, Thank you for your question. Yes, you can change the cord to a twist lock if you need to.

I need to replace a Doughboy PowerPak II, will this pump work to replace that?

Hello, Unfortunately, that pump will be too large. You will need to upgrade the filter as well with the pump.

Will the PN PL1505 unionized discharge and inport ports match with and replace my Pentair, PN 347982 ?

Hi, Martin. It will not match. You will need an adapter based on what connection you have.

Hello I need to replace a pentair 340078 2hp above ground pool pump. Will this pump match up with my pentair clean and clear CC 150 cartridge base's unionized connection? It looks very similar with the side discharge. I think the 1.5 HP will be strong enough for my 14,500 gallon pool as well? I've only got maybe 12ft total head in the lines.

Hi Steve, This pump would be sufficient in regards to HP, it will be plenty large enough. The plumbing ports will not be in the exact location as your Pentair, so you may need to get a little creative (i.e. putting a base under the pump to raise it up to match the ports, changing to hoses, etc..).

Will this pump fit the s210t 20 inch pro series sand filter sand work okay for a 4 by 15 foot above ground pool

Hi, Yes this pump will be plenty large enough for a 15' above ground pool and as long as you are using hoses for your plumbing then this pump which match up fine with the Hayward S210T filter.

This a 1.5HP pump? The plate on the pump in your product image says 1.0? If it is a 1.5HP pump will it work efficiently with a Haywood EC50 filter and a 28' pool with about 24,000 gallons of water. (the middle was dished out) Thanks, Michael J. McDonald

Hi Mike, Yes this is a 1.5 HP Pump and would work fine with your Hayward EC50 filter and a 28' pool. If the pump to filter connections is using hoses then there should not be any issues with plumbing. If these connections are made with hard pvc pipe or connectors then you may have to shim up the pump so that the plumbing ports match up as the plumbing ports may be in a different location then your current pump.

Thanks for the reply. The filter is connected by hoses. Should be good to go.

Do you have this pump in stock & would it work to a replace an Optiflo 1HP horizontal discharge pool pump (Part number 347988SR
 Reply

A  Answered on 5/6/2021 by InyoPools Product Specialist Patrick P.

Yes this pump is in stock. It would work as a replacement for the Optiflo. However since the plumbing ports are not in exact same height you may need shim up or down the pump so that the plumbing ports match up your filter and you may need some basic plumbing fitting from your local hardware store.

Just wanted to confirm that this PL1505 is an exact replacement for my existing Pentair Optiflo 347983 horizontal discharge pool pump. Thanks!

Hi Jeff, We cannot confirm that the port location on the PL1502 are in the exact same location as the Pentair Optiflo. It is possible that you may need to do some modifications to make the PL1502 fit in place of the Optiflo (i.e. raising the pump up, lowering, fittings, etc..)

You reference the PL1502. I asked about the PL1505. I think the 1502 is a vertical discharge whereas my hope is the 1505 is horizontal discharge. Please re-read my original question and advise. I’m simply looking for some reassurance prior to ordering. Thanks!
