What's the best way to clean the cell?

Mix one quart of muriatic acid with one gallon of tap water in a plastic five (5) gallon bucket. Always add acid to the water, never add water to the acid. Always wear eye protection and use rubber gloves. Always work in a well-ventilated areaPlace the cell vertically in the bucket with the cap end down, as shown in right side illustration. Carefully pour the acid solution (as described above) into the cell until the blades are just covered. Allow the acid solution to bubble, and to clean the blades. The acid should only be contained in the cell and not around it. A foaming action will begin, which is caused by scale being dissolved from the plates. If rigorous foaming action does not begin, the cell does not need to be cleaned.

The owners manual says it is a 1 year limited warranty?? Where can I find the 2 year warranty info you listed?

Hello, This is a generic version of the pentair cell. This unit will come with 2-year warranty.

If I replace my intellichlor IC40 with this will it "just fit" or will it need the pluming adjusted?

Yes this would be a drop in replacement for your Pentair IC40 with no plumbing needing to be adjusted.

Why would the generate led blink, there's no information in the manual about this

Hi, The blinking generate led light means the system is generating chlorine. When the generate light turns on green and stays solid is when it connected to power but not generating chlorine, only when the light is blinking indicates that the machine is generating chlorine. So you should be all good =)
