Confused by the W3T designation of Your Goldline T-cell 15. Will this fit my 10 year old circuit board?
Reply
Good day, Gerard,The W3 stands for WWW online resale code used by the manufacturer. If your board is currently, set for a T-CELL15 the new cell would be a replacement.

Hi Donald, Hayward does manufacture two versions of the TCELL15. A one and 3-year version. You may want to check the specific model number and serial number to confirm.

what is the correct range for keeping your pool salt level my I think its 3000 - 3200 is that correct
Reply
Hi David, each model salt system has similar but could be slightly different required salt level ranges however this Hayward Aquarite series will function well with a salt range of 3000-3200.

salt cell reads 7000 water test reads 3600
Reply
Hi Stanley, most often this is associated with the cell going bad. I would suggest having it tested at a local pool retailer. It is a free test.

Considering the conversion to saltwater, on average how long would a TCELL15 last?
Reply
Hi Paul, there are 1-year TCELL's that last on average of 1-2 years and there are the 3-year T-CELLS that last approximately 3-5 years.

We had our pool built in 2006. The contractor installed a Hayward Aqualogic Goldline / Chlorinator cell that needs to be
replaced. Firm software is 2.66. The motherboard works excellent.
I understand Aqualogic was discontinued in 2008 and Prologic with firmware of 4.6 and higher took over.
Do you have a chlorinator cell to replace my cell(Aqualogic)?
I do understand my system is between AquaRite and Prologic.
Reply
Hi Gabe, we likely do carry the replacement cell for your Hayward Goldline Aqualogic salt system. Could you send us a few photos of the cell itself and the label on it? To supply photos simply click the reply link below and upload your photos. Once we get those photos we can make the proper recommendation.

How do I know if I have the software revision or not. I just purchased the new control panel. Did that have the new software in it? If not, how do I determine in I have the new software or not. Also, what differences are there between the Goldline/Aquarite cell to the pureline cell besides $200?

Hello, Unfortunately, we are not certified Hayward reps to accurately troubleshoot this unit for you. We recommend contacting them at 908-351-5400 with that question.

Hi, I need to replace my Goldline sallt cell The pureline (seems to be the same thing) is $399. Can that replace the GLX -15 Goldline/Aquarite cells? What is the difference in the cells since there is $200 difference in the costs?
Reply
Hi, Mitch. You can use the Pureline T-15 Cell (2 Year Warranty) - PL7106 if you have the Aquarite with a software rev. 1.5 and higher.

My AquaRite controller shows r1.4. Is it possible to upgrade the software on this unit? S/N 60839

Please upload more images of the entire equipment pad showing all valves, we will review for a possible system to replace the current The Aqua Collection from Goldline with Aqua Link RS Salt System.

Mitch, the Pureline Replacement T-15 Cell for AquaRite (2 Year Warranty) - PL7106 would be a compatible cell replacement for your AquaRite Replacement Cell (TCELL15) - GLX-CELL-15. The difference between the two cells would be the cell manufacturer (Hayward vs. Pureline) and the warranty (2-years vs. 3-years).

I have an AquaRite w/ no Cl production despite adequate salt (water test). Lights: solid low salt/inspect cell. I assumed the T-15 (8 yrs old & cleaned) failed, but before buying I had pool store check it and it passed. Was told to recalibrate the salt level, but panel won't do it (salt level is 0 after 5th button press, no countdown). I also get 0 amps, which I read may mean a bad PCB. But if unit displays 2600 salt, all cell activity stops and amps = 0, right? Please help, new T-15 or PCB?
Hi, Ken. We've seen this issue caused by a bad cell and or Main PCB. The cell is 8 years old which they do not last that long. There is not much life left in the cell, I recommend replacing both components.

my T-cell ur to five years old after watching your video I pulled the cell off to see if it was corroded. The cell was very clean maybe too clean. How can I tell if the unit is working. Second question is how do I know if the censor that controls it is workings their a way I cn test it.Thank you
Reply
Hi, Ken. The unit will be making chlorine if everything is functioning. The controller will have the proper Cell Voltage 22-32 VDC and Cell Amps 3.1 - 8.0 Amps. You can check with your local pool supply store to see if they have a cell tester.

Can you help me determine if the to pictures are comparable. Just purchased the t15 cell and I cant seem to raise the free chlorine in my pool. Either they are not compatible or the control system is not working. Please help
Hi Mike, This cell is compatible with your system. I would take a chlorine reading directly at the return jet and most likely you will get a chlorine reading. If so then check you CYA as most likely it is too low and the chlorine is getting quickly burnt off by the summer sun. I'm going through this exact same thing with my pool as my CYA was down to 10.

I am getting a flashing light saying check cell. I have high salt for a few days and have been draining and refilling a foot or so a day off of my pool and the level of salt is dropping but still high.
Reply
If the ‘Inspect Cell’ light flashes by itself, it is an early indication that the cell life is coming to an end. Each cell is equipped with 500 operational hours and requires a manual reset once it expires. The remedy is to reset the cell by holding down the ‘Diagnostic’ button for 3-5 seconds.

Hi, I have a bioguard MS-10 control panel w/ a hayward turbo cell T-CELL-15 which is over 10 yrs. old. My control panel is working properly but my cell is generating very little chlorine even with the control panel dial turned up to 80 even 100. But u stated in your Q&A to a person who said they also have a MS-10 controller that this cell is only compatible with the Hayward salt system. So which is the correct Hayward turbo cell model I need exactly like the one I have now.

Had my t-cell 15 tested & it showed ok. When pump starts, salt reading is approx. 2800, but drops to about 1600 or less after run cycle done. By next day, reading is about 900.
Voltage reading varies daily from 3.7-4.2
Cell is approx. 4 years old. Even though cell tested ok, does this mean it is near end of life??
Reply
Hi, Gary. The correct operating voltage should range between 22.0 – 26.0 VDC and the amp range between 3.1 – 8.0 when using a T-CELL-15. The issue could be the cell or the PC Board.

Are these units new or refurbished. What is the difference between the T15 and the GLXCE15

I need to replace my T5 salt cell. Can I just upgrade to the T15 cell ? Pool is around 20,000 gallons and I think the T5 is having a hard time keeping up, The panel is a PLPlus20G.

Yes, if you have a 20,000 gallon pool I would recommend the T15 because the cell will not have to work as hard making it last longer.
Reply
My pool is 12,000 gallons. I have a T 15 salt cell. I think I need to replace it. Can I use a T-3 instead since the cost is so much lower?
Reply
Hi, James. You can replace the T-Cell 15 with the T-Cell 3 if your controller has a software revision of 1.50 or higher. Also, it is price lower but it will not last as long as the T-Cell 15 on your pool. The lower percentage that the cell run on the longer the cell will last.
Reply
I have a T-Cell-15, My pool control panel says "Pool Chlorinator 30%" "Chlorinator Off - High Salt Amps"
Screen Says "Main Software Revision 2.85" "Display Software Revision 3.11" What do you suggest so that I can get my pool back to salt. Aqua Plus Control Panel.......last year it was saying "no cell power" but doesn't anymore.
Reply
Hi, Kevin. That error message indicates that the salt level in your pool is higher than normal. You would need to test your salt level to determine the actual salt level of your pool. If the salt level is higher than 3400 ppm you will need to dilute the pool by adding fresh water.

Will this work with an Aqua Logic system or only the Aqua Rite system? Is there a difference between t cell 15 and 15w?
Reply
The GLXCELL15 will work with the AquaRite, AquaLogic and ProLogic systems. Depending on the age of your system, you may want to double check yoru software revision. The difference between the 2 cell is that the GLXCELL15 has a 3 year warranty and the GLXCELL15W has only a 1 year warranty.
Reply
How do I clean the TCELL15?
Reply
To clean the TCELL15 you will need to first use a water hose to try and hose off the scale build up. Then use a water to muriatic acid mixture of 4 to 1 to clean the plates. Always add the acid to the water. Let stand for approximately 15 minutes. You can then rinse and reinstall.
Reply
Absolutely correct, it's always the three AAA+W never the other way around. (Always Add Acid to Water)

Does the Hayward GLXCELL15 (T-CELL-15) come with a flow switch?
Reply
No, the GLXCELL15 does not come with a flow switch. Most of the time the flow switch does not need to be replaced as often as the salt cell.
Reply
I have an AquaRite that uses the t-cell-15. The system is 5/6 years old. Do I need a soft ware update?
Reply
No you would not need a software update, the GLXCELL15 would work fine with your system here >http://www.inyopools.com/Products/02100023001296.htm The GLXCELL15 comes without the flow switch which you would not require. The only time you would need a software upgrade is if you went with one of the smaller cells which just came out in 2009 if for example you tried to install a TCELL3 your software would not recognize this cell but the GLXCELL15 (TCELL15) is recognized by all versions of the software.

This is a simple fix for someone that has a salt cell that is not working. It takes 5 minutes to just remove the old cell and replace it with a new one. Unplug the old cell from the panel and loosen up 2 joints holding the cell in place, replace the old o-rings and install the new cell and plug into the panel. Within 2 minutes of restarting the pump the sale reading was at 3600 and the cell was operational.
