What is the difference in a SP2607-c impeller, and SPX2607-c impeller? And, can either be used as a replacement for the other?

Jeff - A SP2607-c impeller, and SPX2607-c impeller are the same. An "X" is sometimes added to the part number to show that it is a part and opposed to a whole product.

My older Hayward pump needs a new impeller...the part number is in the SP-1600 series......what new number impeller would be a replacement for my unit the number on the motor looks like 1607 Z1.....thanks for your help

Hello, from what this part number is from the SP2607 goes to a Hayward Super Pump which has a GOKIT3 OR GOKIT3SALT these come with the pump seal, housing gasket, lid oring, and diffuser oring.

Hello, I am repairing a old super pump. The impeller broke.
The part number from the impeller is

It is a 1 HP super pump.
Can I just replace it with the spx2607?

Hi, Evan. Unfortunately, you cannot just replace the impeller, you will need to purchase the Super Pump SP1600X- Series Drive Train UpGrade Kit 1 HP - SPX2607CKIT to make sure all parts are compatible.

I just installed a new motor on my Haward Superpump (UST1102 - bought from Inyo). After running a few hours, it shut off. It's not power, because when i checked it, the motor was warm. My impeller was pretty worn, I wonder if that's the issue. Also, I noticed it doesn't have the same power or moving the same amount of water my old motor used to. Very odd. Thoughts?

Hi, Michael. A worn impeller can cause motor issues such as casing a motor to overheat. Air in the system or not assembling the pump correct can cause the same issue.

On the end of where the diffuser goes, my motor burnt up and I think there was 1 there
But melted off but none of the pool stores ever heard of it I ordered a spx3005r washer and it does not fit it is too small

You may need that impeller ring however, it is based on the model of the front pump housing that the motor actually attaches to, and also the motor model or part number as well. If you cannot locate that information then you can always email us some pictures to upload@inyopools.com so we can confirm for you.

The SPX1605C is obsolete. You need to replace the drive train with part number SPX2605CKIT

You will need to do a drive train upgrade kit since your pump is prior to 1983, use SPX2607CKIT ( 35-150-2050 ) see images we added
I replaced a variable speed motor that was rate at 1.5THP with a standard motor rated at 1.5HP and now the psi is 25 instead of 12 that is was before. What impeller should I install to lower the PSI? The pump model is an SP2600VSP.

If you replaced it with a single-speed motor and now have an increased flow rate, I recommend viewing our How to Size a Pool Pump for Your In-Ground Pool before you replace any parts. The impeller that was installed on the SP2600VSP worked up to 2.5HP the pump is a specialty variable speed. The Generic Super Pump™ Style Drive Train UpGrade Kit 1.5 HP - 5110-53 be used with your motor that has a total HP of 1.5.
