I have a Jandy CL340 filter. The filters seem to be working fine but I'm into my 5th season using them. I keep the pool open year round. What it the life span of these filters?

Hi, Dale. The lifespan of the cartridges in a quad system is about 3 seasons or 2 years if your pool runs all year.

Will this cartridge fit a model CV580?

Hi Tom, this cartridge does not fit the Jandy CV580 Filter, you will require the PL0102 Jandy CV580 Replacement Cartridge.

I started using my filters last season. My pool is open 3.5 months a year. They are looking a little grey even though they have been rinsed and chemically cleaned regularly. How long should they last?

There are a lot of determining factors that could result in replacing the filter earlier or longer. If the filter is undersized to the pool's needs you could find yourself replacing the element more than others. How well we maintain the water chemistry and environmental life around the pool will impact the life of the filter too. In general, there is a wide range of filter life from 1-4 years. Our filters are 340-we have a Jandy cv. Do we need the CV 340 filters? Why don’t our existing filters have a CV? I want to be sure these are the correct filters.
We offer the generic Jandy CL/CV 340 Replacement Cartridge (Single) - PL0100 or the Jandy OEM PART # R0554500 Single Element. The manufacturers use different part numbers to identify the whole filter system model vs. the filter element part numbers for ordering. Soaking the filters every four months with the Filter Clean improves efficiency by reducing pump electricity costs and will decrease the potential for bacterial growth. Buy 4 quart package and save!
