What are the dimensions? I need it to be 7" tall by 5 3/8" top outside (4 1/4 " inside). It says Purex Triton Challenger on the motor and PacFab on the pump strainer where the basket goes in.

The pump housing says PAC FAB Model CHII-N1 2FE. The trap measures 5.25 across the top and 6.5" deep. I can't seem to find the right match for this basket?

Hi Gerald, This Generic Basket (B-219) or the Strainer Basket OEM (355318) can be used with the CHII-N1 2FE pump.

Yes, the R38024 is compatible with the Pentair Challenger housing. Due to its smaller size, it is not advisable to use on a pool application.

The strap on my Challenger Pump Basket has broken. The basket is fine. Can I purchase the strap as a separate item?

Hello Carol.  Unfortunately, the basket strap for the Pentair Challenger pump basket is not available as a separate part.  The Challenger Pump Basket (355318) - B-219 is only available as a complete basket.  Attached is the Pentair Challenger Pump exploded parts diagram for reference.

Remove old strainer basket and replaced with the new one. Also replaced the strainer lid o-ring.
