Will a gas heater operate at the low speed of a dual speed motor?

Probably not - Most gas heater will shut off at low GPM levels (20-40) to keep the heater cores from overheating - 20 for 200 BTUs, 40 for 400 BTUs. Depending on your pool system you might get these GPM levels at the low speed but generally these heaters must be run at the motor's high speed.

When I had my pool installed I also had the gas line installed so when I was able to purchase the gas heater I choose the 400 BTUI had it installed by a professional. heats up my spa within 20 minutes. it’s great and keeps the whole pool and a spa heated.

Pros: NICE SIZE AND HEATER POOL QUICKLY
We are very pleased with this heater. Our pool had been down for a good month and the water temp was at about 50 degrees when we started the heater up and it heater the pool quickly. We started at the 65 degrees and back to the 82 degrees by day 2. Inyo offers great pricing and the shipping cost were reasonable and gave us the option to have a lift truck. I will not hesitate to order from Inyo Pool Products in the future.

The unit is relatively small compared to the previous Teledyne Laars unit of the same heat rating and is very efficient. It is easy to operate and maintains the temperature accurately. We are very happy with the purchase.

Inyo pools gave me an excellent price, my pool guy quoted $4500.00 installed. I paid $1850.00 and installed it myself, I saved $2500.00. After buying $150.00 is supplies it took me 5-6 hours to install by myself. It is so light that I could move it around by myself. This new unit has cut my gas bill in 1/2. My old heater was 240V so it wired right in. I reworked the existing PVC and I reworked the existing Galvanized Gas line. I love that it is digital. I am very happy !!

Cons: Need to adjust water flow of pump to at least 35 GPMs.
Just recently upgraded to a Pentair IntelliFlow pump. Once the old Hayward heater I had went I started looking at the MasterTemp. The design is nice and clean. Very compact. Controls are very simple. The heater is about a million times quieter than my previous heater. I have a 15,000 gallon pool/spa combo. Needless to say the 400k BTUs get it warmed up ultra fast. Like the 2 year warranty and the great price at INYO.

Pros: Fast heating, great weather resistant design, amazingly small
Cons: slightly loud, but I like it because it makes me remember that it's running.
This is an outstanding heater that was easy for my plumber and electrician to install. Very clear directions for hooking up to my aqualink one touch. Seemless intergration and control. I would highly recommend this heater.
