Part # SV150T6

Alternate Part #'s SAVSV150T6

Product Description

The illuminator houses the lamp which is the light source for all fiber optic lighting. Since fiber optic strands do not generate but only carry light, all fiber optic lighting requires an illuminator. The Super Vision 6-Color Illuminator provides six different light colors: white, hot pink, peach, green, light blue and dark blue. It has a fiber optic strand capacity of 550 strands which can be upgraded to 756 strands with the purchase of an upgrade kit (sold separately). The illuminator is made of UV stabilized material that is water, corrosion and chemical resistant. Its taupe color blends easily with the environment.

Can I use Super Vision Fiber optic cable with a Fiberstars illuminator?

Both companies' cable will work with either the Fiberstars or Super Vision illuminator. You will need to make sure that you have the proper perimeter track in your pool to accommodate the appropriate cable.

We are building a wall close to the pool and thinking of a waterfall. Where does everything go? Can the pool pump be used instead of a dedicated pump? How far can the illuminator be from the waterfall? How far from the wall to where the water hits the pool? In other words, how close does the waterfall have to be to the pool?

The illuminator and pump can be placed where your exisiting pool pump and filter is located. The further the distance away from your pool, the more more fiber and a higher HP pump you will need. We recommend purchasing an additional pump for a waterfall. If you use the same pump, the waterfall will take away from the existing water circulation and your pool will not be properly filtered. The model I have is a SV150T. Will this one work for me?

Hello Jim - The SV150T6 will work for you as long as you do not have multiple illuminators that have to sync together. The SV150T6 is for single illuminator systems.

My unit has a tag on it that reads Super Vision SV150T. I have 3 24" waterfall lines as well as the perimeter line going into it. Will this unit replace mine with no upgrades?

Art, As long as the unit you have is a stand alone unit (not a synced version), you can replace it with the SV150T6. Please note that this unit can accept up to 550 strands of fiber.

I currently have an SV25TH that needs replacement. Will this unit work with the existing cable, which is fine?

I spoke to the tech help at Savi Pool and Spa ( they are part of Zodiac 407.855.5630 ) and was told that the SV150T6 will replace your older SV25TH. The major difference will be that the new system will be brighter.
