what are my options since the piece is broken?

Kim- Unfortunately part 4741-10 Air Bleeder Assy. is obosolete with not replacement listed. I would suggest calling Waterway at 805-981-0262 to see if they may have something that will work. If not you may need to replace the filter.

Where does the air bleeder go when in the tank ? By intake or outflow?

It installed by the intake port.

Pros: Free shipping was great

Cons: INYO did not put a complete shipping address on the package. So the package wandered around my company for a long time.

Good part, but in a fragile location on the bottom of the filter. Be careful when placing filter assembly down, because you may snap the tubing.
